I drew this bird following one of the lessons in "Realistic Textures" by Diane Cardaci. It's from the Walter Foster series. It took me over 2 hours to finish.

honestly, i love the tail, i love the head, and i love the little needles on the tree. it all just looks so...real.  especially the tail.  and the head...i LOVE those little guys' heads!  all that spiky featherness up in back - they'd fit right in here in portland, lol.

Its a Blue Jay, the type that you can find in Minnesota, they are a winter bird there. You did a wonderful job Azzy,
